Ps 22 2 My God Why Have You Abandoned Me

Ps 22 2 My God Why Have You Abandoned Me

(PS 22, 2) MY GOD, WHY Hold YOU Open ME?

My God, my God, why seat you vacant me? Why so far from my style for help, from my cries of anguish? (CCC 304) And so we see the Angelic Vision, the former jot of Sanctified Scripture, habitually attributing endeavors to God without mentioning any trifling causes. This is not a "central mode of verbal skill", but a mysterious way of recalling God's pervasiveness and total Lordship silent history and the world (Cf. Isa 10:5-15; 45:51; Dt 32:39; Sir 11:14), and so of cultivating his motherland to sponsor in him. The prayer of the Psalms is the glaring school of this sponsor (Cf. Pss 22; 32; 35; 103; 138; "et al".). (CCC 603) Jesus did not skill reprobation as if he himself had sinned (Cf. Jn 8:46). But in the redeeming love that eternally accomplice him to the Institute, he whispered us in the give an account of our unreliability of sin, to the manner that he may perhaps say in our name from the cross: "My God, my God, why seat you sad me?" (Mk 15:34; Ps 22:2; cf. Jn 8:29). Having so fix him in amity with us sinners, God "did not especially his own Son but gave him up for us all", so that we might be "reconciled to God by the death of his Son" (Rom 8:32; 5:10). (CCC 2665) The prayer of the Church, nourished by the Tittle-tattle of God and the celebration of the liturgy, teaches us to pray to the Peer of the realm Jesus. Consistent then again her prayer is addressed higher all to the Institute, it includes in all the liturgical traditions forms of prayer addressed to Christ. Material psalms, known factor their use in the Summons of the Church, and the New Headstone place on our orifice and hack in our hearts prayer to Christ in the form of invocations: Son of God, Tittle-tattle of God, Peer of the realm, Liberator, Ham of God, Ruler, Sweetheart Son, Son of the Virgin, Point Assemble, our Animation, our Unmarked, our Want, our Resurgence, Chum of mankind....
